At the party, it doesn’t really matter if you serve all those crackers, breads and chips… You know the real stars are the dips. Baba Ghanoush has become very popular worldwide and once you try it, you’ll definitely love it. Small wiki fact: Baba Ghanoush is also known as Baba Ghanouj and just simply “Eggplant dip”. You may not be currently in the Eastern Mediterranean, but the taste and flavor will definitely take you there.
- 3 Eggplants (grilled or baked)
- 2 – 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2-3 tbsp tahini (sesame paste)
- juice of lemon
- 1 tsp cumin
- coriander for garnish
Direction: Preheat an oven to 375°F. Place the eggplants onto the baking sheet. Prick the eggplants with fork in different places and place them on the oven rack. Bake until soft for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove and let it cool. Peel away most the the skin and add the flesh into a food processer or scoop it with your hand. Add the rest of the ingredients. Garnish with herb and serve with chips, pita or veggies.
